When you buy a Hamai N80 hobbing machine, you can judge the newness of the equipment from the following aspects:
1. **Appearance check**
    - **Paint and marking**: the paint of brand-new equipment is usually even in color, bright, without obvious scratches, flaking or fading, and the marking and nameplate on the equipment are clear and complete. The used equipment may have paint wear, scratches more cases, especially in frequent contact or easy to collision parts, such as the edge of the table, near the guide rail.
    - **Surface wear**: Carefully observe the surface of each part of the equipment, such as guide rails, work table, gears, etc.. The surface of the new equipment should be smooth with no obvious signs of wear. The movement of each coordinate axis should be smooth and accurately positioned. Older equipment may have higher vibration and abnormal noise during operation, which may be caused by the wear and tear of mechanical parts or decreased installation accuracy.
    - **Load running**: conduct load running test when conditions permit. You can observe the performance of the equipment under load by processing some simple workpieces. New equipment can maintain stable machining accuracy during load operation, and the operating parameters of each component (e.g. current, voltage, etc.) should be within the normal range. Older equipment may experience a decrease in processing accuracy, such as an increase in tooth shape error and tooth direction error of gears, or overloading of the motor and unstable operation of the equipment when the load is large.
4. **Equipment information and history**
    - **Equipment files**: Ask the seller for the original files of the equipment, including the factory certificate of conformity of the equipment, acceptance reports, instruction manuals, maintenance records, etc.. By looking at this information, you can understand the date of production, use time, maintenance and other information about the equipment, so as to have a more accurate judgment on the degree of newness and oldness of the equipment. If the equipment is used for a shorter period of time, and less maintenance records, then the equipment is relatively new; on the contrary, if the equipment is frequently repaired, it may mean that there are some problems with the equipment, and its degree of newness will also be affected.
